Brunch On 3rd Offers Excellent Eats In Duncan, BC
When you think of Duncan, British Columbia, you probably don’t think of cute, classy, brunch places.
However, Duncan does have one hidden gem, and that is Brunch on 3rd.
If you were to only judge the neighborhood by its location (downtown Duncan which is mostly run-down buildings and abandoned parking lots), you wouldn’t expect to find a classy restaurant for miles.
But, tucked away in a beautiful character home surrounded by immaculate gardens, Brunch on 3rd is an unexpected and lovely spot.

One that is a must-see.
Brunch On 3rd: The Space
Brunch on 3rd operates out of a beautiful heritage home, that has been converted into a restaurant.
The living room is converted into the main seating area, and the fireplace stands in as the bar.
There is an outdoor patio, too!
Brunch On 3rd Menu
For a small restaurant, it’s a big menu!
You’ll find eggs bennies, bacon and eggs, waffles, sandwiches, burgers, and more.
Brunch On 3rd Vegetarian Menu Items
Although most of the menu items are meat-focused, Brunch on 3rd does have a couple of vegetarian plates.
There are a few vegetarian options, including:
I recently tried the West African Smashed Avocado toast (pictured below). It had a nice flavor, but I was disappointed to find out that it was a dish served ice cold.
I was hoping for a hot breakfast, or at least warm toast, but it was all cold.
Still tasty, but not as expected. I still ate it, but I probably wouldn’t order that one again (unless they increased the temperature!)
The last time I went there I ordered the Herbi, and it was awesome (and hot).
Kids Menu At Brunch On 3rd
For diners with kids, you will be happy to know that Brunch On 3rd has a dedicated kids menu.
Items for kids include chicken strips, burgers, and grilled cheese.
As a parent, I appreciate that the serving sizes and the prices for the kids items are half the regular size/price.
Unlike places like Cactus Club which don’t have a kids menu, and force parents to have no option but to pay full price for a full-sized plate of chicken strips that their kids will just waste!
Brunch On 3rd also gives the items on their kids menu cute names like “The I Don’t Care” and the “I Want To Go Home.”
Brunch On 3rd Service
Our server was prompt and brought everything we needed. And someone came around to refill coffees frequently, so that was great.
Tips For Dining At Brunch On 3rd
Its important to mention that the restaurant is only open from 8am – 2pm weekdays and 7am-2pm on weekends.
And unless you are there before 9am, expect a long lineup down the garden path!
So it’s best to arrive early. They do not take reservations!
Or you could always order takeout from them which is good if you can’t get a table.
On a recent visit, we showed up at 7:30am on a Sunday and walked right in. By the time we paid and walked outside, the line was already down the street!
Is There Parking At Brunch On 3rd?
There is no dedicated parking lot for the restaurant, just street parking. But street parking is free.
