1. The Haifa Room
The Haifa Room is a cute restaurant in Toronto offering delicious Mediterranean small plates.
I ordered:
- House Hummus
- Labneh Brûlée – harissa + feta + lemon balm
- Falafel with herbed tahini
- Fattoush Salad – kale + goat cheese + root veg + apricot vin + seeds
I also ordered their mocktail which is a “non-alcoholic concoction featuring a blend of ginger sour + cherry & a touch of lime.”
This restaurant is so good!!
2. Trinity Market
Another cute spot for small plates and appies is Trinity Market.
The food isn’t vegetarian-focused exactly but if you love bread and cheese you will be very happy here.
I ordered so many delicious cheesy bread items.
It’s a small space (there are only a couple of tables and bar seating inside) so expect to be seated outside. Dress warmly in case!
Trinity Market didn’t have many options for mocktails when I was there, aside from canned zero-proof gin and tonic.
But their claim to fame is their wall of natural wines. I love that!
3. Peter Pan
If you are on the hunt for a brunch spot in Toronto that is vegetarian-friendly, check out Peter Pan!
This restaurant is super cute, offering an Instagram-worthy heritage building aesthetic and a lovely, secluded back patio.
Get the avocado toast!
4. The Homeway
The Homeway is another great location for brunch if you are a vegetarian. You can’t go wrong with the avocado toast here, too.
5. Northern Maverick
If a sports bar is more your thing, Northern Maverick’s menu is one to get excited about.
Northern Maverick is a sports bar and brewery located downtown. It’s a great spot for late-night eats
Usually, you wouldn’t expect much from a sports bar for vegetarians.
I mean, how many times have you had to go to a sports bar and your only “healthy” choices were between fries or nachos?!
Northern Maverick is not one of those places. In fact, I was super impressed with their menu!
I had the Vegan Thai Curry which was incredible. It’s a red curry with roasted seasonal vegetables. And it is SUPER spicy!
Other vegetarian-friendly options include:
- Truffled Mushroom Gnocchi – Housemade Gnocchi, Roasted Woodland Mushrooms, Alfredo Sauce, Truffle
- Vegan Pakoras – Chickpea Flour, Onions, Mango Habanero Sauce, Potatoes
- Mediterranean Board – Hummus, Baba Ganoush, Seasonal Pickled Vegetables, Marinated Olives, Fresh Flatbread –vegan
- Pizzas
When you are there, be sure to get the alcohol-free Pineapple Mojito mocktail.
